Tell us a little bit about yourself. Where do you live? What do you do in daily life? When did you start playing lacrosse?
I from Levittown New York. I graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh May of 2013. I work for WB Mason as an Account Executive. I started playing lacrosse at a very young age. The first time I picked up a stick was at age 7. I have played every year since then, from middle school until college to summer leagues now. Lacrosse is a very popular sport within Long Island so I have been around the game my entire life.
Congratulations with your spot on the team! What was the first thing you did when you heard?
I could not have been happier to have another chance to play for the Dutch National Lacrosse Team. The first thing I did when I heard I made the team, was get in touch with my teammates from previous years and tell them the good news hoping they were going to say they made the team as well.
What are you most looking forward to in Denver?
The thing I am looking forward to the most is getting back on the field with my old/new teammates again.
What are your expectations for Denver?
I have very high expectations for Denver this year. This will be my third time competing in a tournament with the Dutch National Team and every year we have gotten so much better as a team. The last worlds we came one game away from finishing in the top 5 and this year we hope to do nothing less but to break the top 5.
How do you interpret the 2014 MDNT motto “Destination Denver and Beyond”?
What “Destination Denver and Beyond” means to me is that not only are we preparing to play in Denver but we are going to continue to grow the sport of lacrosse in the Netherlands while continuing to better every year we compete.
